Golden Hour Stone, Tungsten Bead

Stone Cold's Golden cousin. This fly is a MylesHigh original designed with a large abdominal tungsten bead and large gold glass bead for the head to imitate the gas bubble produced by the small faction of Yellow Sally stoneflies known to emerge through the surface rather than crawling to the riverbank as most do. This fly covers the best of both worlds with plenty of sparkle in the golden ice dubbing body and the profile matched to the hatch resulting in a very complete fly. The smaller sizes fish great as a dropper under large foam dries and as a great attractor in a nymph rig. Sizes 12-14 are tied on a curved emerger hook and size 10 is tied on a traditional straight hook. This is by far one of our favorite flies to throw when golden stones are present in the system.
