Many natural chironomids can be observed to have white 'fuzz' on both the tail and head of the naturals, which this pattern imitates nicely. Paired with subtle flash in the black holo tinsel ribbing and a flashback, this fly fishes extremely well in the depths where light is more sparse. Tied on a curved 2x long hook perfect for matching the emergent chironomid profile.
